Approximately four etchings in existence signed/dated
From a series of etchings which took sixties film stills as their starting points and to which text was added. Furr found a book of sixties kitchen sink drama film stills in the Kimberlin library at De Montfort University (formerly Leicester Polytechnic) and used these as the basis of a collection of etchings.
The stills were drawn, then worked into with amendments or additions and a section of written text was added at the bottom of the image which complemented the image with further ideas. In this case the text was the description given for the film still in the book.
The etching is based on a still from the movie "A Kind of Loving" 1962 , Dir. John Schlesinger featuring June Ritchie and Alan Bates as the leads.
The text at the bottom of the etching reads:
'Ingrid expresses her horror at the nude art magazine that she has taken from Vic which she feels is not the right sort of publication for him to have'
