2020-present

In 2020 and during lockdown, Furr began to focus on fulfilling large scale private commissions for clients in the U.S This included ‘Goya in the Prado’ ‘St Bernard in the Alps’ and commissioned paintings after of other artists works with ‘After Zuolaga’ and ‘Blue Attended After Brice Marden’ and a personal interpretation of the Chandos portrait of Shakespeare. It also saw the Hausof Lucy /Furr collaboration of modified busts of famous male historical figures.

Later in 2022 Furr began new pieces for his Jouissance series including the glissando series with featured sets of 4 images. A number of gallery shows occured with ‘Majesty’ at Quantus which was a celebratory exhibition of the life of Queen Elizabeth II with artists Rob Munday and Frances Segelman who had also had royal commissions.

In 2022 Furr was commissioned by the Dorchester to create a large scale painting of the Serpentine and Hyde Park for the newly refurbished lobby. This painting was unveiled in 2023.

Also in 2023, Furr was commissioned to paint his largest work to date.
‘Arrival’ is a 4 x 3 m canvas which depicts an ancient tapestry scene of the early settlers of Singapore arriving in junks in the bay of Singapore.
