Aged 19, Furr did some paintings and drawings of informal scenes of his childhood home 'Beechwood' in Heswall.

His mother Angela and father Peter Furr and family lived at 288 Telegraph Road which had a view over the Dee, Wales. Furr lived here from the age of 6 to 20yrs.
