Neon
Furr’s first Bracey/neon neon collaboration happened in 2012 with Neon Beatles which was exhibited at the Liverpool Love exhibition at the New Museum of Liverpool. In 2013 – working together – the artists Christian Furr and Chris Bracey created the Staying Alive Neon Collection which showed at 45 Park Lane (Dorchester Collection) in 4th – 30th August 2013.
In 2018 Furr created “Black Eye-Third Sight’ which incorporated a new nano-black ‘superblack’ material to rival Vantablack after Furr had discovered that no other artists were allowed to use Vantablack because of Anish Kapoor’s exclusive licence agreement with Surrey Nanosystems.
The nanoblack ‘7black’ was initiated by Furr and developed by Imperial College scientists Francois de Luca and Hin Chun Yau. This unique art piece was previewed at the Science Museum and now hangs on permanent display at Colt Technologies, London.
